John Kirk is best known as the rockstar bass player with legendary Aussie band, Uncanny X-Men.
In 1985, the band's debut album, "Cos Life Hurts (1985)", reached No.3 on the Australian charts and delivered the iconic hit single "50 Years".
Alongside frontman Brian Mannix, Kirky helped shape the X-Men's energetic sound, capturing the spirit of 1980's Aussie rock and delivering Gold and Platinum record sales.
A highly-respected musician, Kirky has performed with Tina Turner, the Divinyls, Billy Preston and too many to mention. He performs on-call for a variety of top-line bands and acts, and regularly in the hit-show "Absolutely 80’s" with Brian Mannix (Uncanny X-Man), Scott Carne (Kids in the Kitchen) and Ally Fowler (Chantoozies).
Also a highly sought after session-musician, Kirky has recorded with many local and international artists including Back Street Boys, James Reyne, John St Peeters, John English, Roxas, Tower Of Power and Crakajak.
Kirky has appeared regularly on Australian television, including on iconic shows such as Countdown, Hey Hey It’s Saturday, Simon Townsend's Wonder World, Donny Sutherland Sounds, Lee Simon Nightshift and Rage.
